AMERICAN SIGN LANGUAGE RECOGNITION SYSTEM USING PYTHON

Abstract

Communication is the act of sharing information and exchanging feelings or ideas between two or more individuals. For communication to be shared between the individuals there is a use of language but deaf and dumb people cannot use this common language for sharing of their thoughts .They use sign language for their communication. So, there is a language barrier between normal people and the deaf and dumb. To overcome this barrier machine learning based models can be used. In this paper we have proposed a process to create that model which helps in building a real time system using the webcam and then using the transfer learning, and  train a model using  TensorFlow  to create  real time sign language recognition system
